Give the Weed Liberty!

It's time has come. We've learned so much about it, okay well, we already knew these things but only recently are they more willing to actually mention it in the news. Speaking of it in positive terms and citing documented medical studies proving the benefits of smoking marijuana, cooking marijuana and/or eating raw marijuana for a variety of medical reasons.

The earliest records of medicinal marijuana use have been traced back to China in 2737 BC. It was used in colonial America and listed in the U.S. Pharmacopoeia, as tincture of cannabis, until 1941. In the 19th century, William B. O'Shaughnessy, MD, studied marijuana and concluded that it was safe and effective in the treatment of various maladies. Study the benefits of medical Marijuana. "This plant facilitates the immune system. It is something that belongs in every diet of every person of every age. Green leaf is a non-psychoactive dietary supplement of huge proportions for the prevention of a wide range of conditions."
Dr. William Courtney as quoted in The New Settler Interview Issue 146, 2009

"The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS -- or by the harsh drugs sometimes used to treat them. And it can do so with remarkable safety. Indeed, marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day."
